My new challenge!!

My latest challenge......

Insha Allah I will be starting a sign language class. The place where the classes are held is also a center for the deaf. When they found out I was a teacher and looking to do soem volunteer work, they asked if I would be interested in teaching English to deaf Malay students. While I would love to, I have no idea how that would work. But, I'm always up for a challenge :) This is my first time doing this. Before, I taught deaf children in the states, but they already knew english. This will be very different as many, if not most, of the signs they use are malay. I'm a little excited :) please make dua for me.

Peace

True, time does fly when we're together. We had a picnic yesterday and before we knew it, it was time to go home. It was amazing, I actually remembered more sign than I thought. :) We had an interpreter there, but she just sat back and let us talk (sign) only commenting if we just did not understand. The food was great:)

Sounds like fun! I've worked at a school for the deaf. It was interesting. The kids would be whispering and passing comments to each other in sign and they'd think they were being so smart like I couldn't see them 'talking'.
