i agree wif amna...do urself a favour and visit victoria...quaint,charming place...tho u might need 2 spend a night there. buses n ferries to victoria from vancouver are pretty regular...go to
www.bcferries.com

for detailed schedule on ferries, and to
www.translink.bc.ca

for buses, trains, skybuses etc...also gives u the option of planning ur trip, so u know which buses etc to take to get u where u wanna go.

wen in vancouver, try and go to surrey...predominently indian area...but there's an afghan restuarant...afghan chopan www.afghanchopan.com)...food there is awesome :)

other than that, there's granville island, stanley park, gas town, china town...all in central vancouver...gas town loses it's charm after a while, coz all the shops are all replica's of one another, very touristy...but the architecture is amazing. hmmm...trying 2 remembe the name of the conference centre on d water's edge...darn it...anywayz across the rd from there, there's a tourist info place, ppl there are very friendly and helpful, so make use of them.

see u only gonna be in singapore for a day...there's a train from the airport that u cud take, or buses for that matter. not sure wot ur interests are, but i found arab street, chinatown and little india real charming...all that is in downtown singapore.

cairo was a great change from jordan, tho i still love jordan...there was a lot more greenery in cairo and a bit less conservative than jordan. stayed at a youth hostel on the nile...across the rd from a sports club...rooms were like prison cells, but the bathrooms were clean, so that was all we cared about. will get back 2 u wif the name if u interested.

found the pyramids to be an anti-climax...but guess it was the way we got there and it wasn't anything like i expected...so we didn't go venturing into the pyramids, yet we stayed for the light and sound show, which i thoroughly enjoyed.

don't bother with the islamic museum...unless of course they've revamped it since '99...the egyptian museum is HUGE...so if u go there, plan ur time well. suggest u get a taxi driver from outside the egyptian museum...bargain wif him and get him to be ur personal tour guide to all the major mosque's in cairo.

on of the best things about cairo is losing urself in the khan al khalili souq...even if u don't like shopping! just walk, get lost and found, and wotever u do, bargain...else u'll never survive...it's loadsa fun as well. if sum1 ever mistakes u for an egyptian, don't tell them otherwise, take full advantage of it...else u'll be paying 'baksheesh' where ever u go.

If you are goin to Vancouver, I would suggest heading on a bit south and going through the Puget Sound area in Washington. It is beautiful. As for London, I would suggest making a trip to the Cotswolds and Oxford (it can be done in a day). Maybe go up to Edinboro for a day or two as well.
