AsalaamAlaikum all. All this time I've known that my wudu and therefore prayers are not acceptable with nail polish on. But I used to wear it anyway. I think I was addicted!! Had to have my toes polished at all times... My mom and bros always told me to take it off if I want my prayers to count, and my response was always "yea, yea my intentions are good!" It makes a HUGE difference when you hear advice from friends tho. They're great girls mA and talked some sense into me. Huge sacrifice tho...I feel like my feet are ugly(er) w/o nailpolish!!! :)

i think all these villagers' tales should be left in the VILLAGE.. this is what stops us from actually practicing the religion.. having to stop and think before we so much as put out the rubbish whether what we're doing is correct.. incidentally, the very people adhering to these rules are the ones usually making a career out of cheating/ lying/ backbiting and not practicing any useful bits of the religion.. my in laws had a rule whereby you couldn't cut your nails after sunset.. never could understand how that was going to affect my health..

FON-yes I have heard about not praying in front of a mirror. That is because it will be like you're praying to yourself instead of Allah. And Irfani, dude you need to chill out, seriously. Of course there are exceptions to every rule, and if you're blind, it of course would be forgiven if you were praying in front of a mirror.

Heard from another village that some Wahahbi sheikh states that it is haraam to vote in a kafir state like the USA. I guess that means in all other G-7 natiosn as well. Mubaraak ho. Maybe we can just all buy a gun and shoot ourselves in the foot (politically speaking).
