NaNoWriMo?

hey all!

I was just wondering if any of you have heard of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). I found out about it last year and I was thinking of participating this year. I was wondering if anybody from this village was also interested. It helps to have a buddy in these types of ventures.

For those of you who don't know, the goal of NaNoWriMo is to write 50,000 words from Nov 1st to Nov 30th. The actual content is unimportant, it's more about getting your butt into gear and chugging out those words, i.e. writing that novel you otherwise probably won't write for lack of time or motivation.

I think it's a fun idea, but I have no idea whether I'll actually be able to do it. It would be nice to know if I've got any fellow naseebers in the same boat.

Haha nice! Someone else gets the connection. :D Everyone else so far just thought I was crazy... which I suppose I am but not because of this. ;)

Sounds cool. Both the je and the plot idea in the comments below :)

Well it does make sense I guess, the whole fertiziler manufacturing. Wasn't there a whole bit about growing cabbages in the garden with Rapunzel? And now you have a twist, with a different occupation in place of gardening. Interesting :)

rapunzel put fertilizer in her hair to make it grow! ...or not...

Well, see it stems from the Rapunzel side of the story... with the garden... fertilizer... it all makes sense to me!!

lol...that's pretty crazy... fertilizer maker caught in the middle of a crime ring?

Manufacture fertilizer, ok, that doesn't sound bad, it's the natural fertilizer that is scary.

Oh, and did I fail the mention the part where only *I* could create a story where one of the main character's primary source of income is through the manufacture of fertilizer.

Yes. I rock.

The randomness never ends... :D

You have an lj for everything, I figured this would get its own, hehe. I only have 5 so far, 2 of which are practically inactive, I *should* devote more time....I would, too, if life didn't throw this work/school stuff at me. :p

I will add that lj, and wow the plot sounds awesome. :)

Haha, Sana, why don't you add that LJ?

Ok, as for a synopsis, I decided to take an old plotline I had sitting around and intertwine it with a modern-day Rapunzel. There's a crazy plot full of police corruption along with alleged child abuse, murder and kidnapping! Of course, being Bollywoodish as I am, a few love & family togetherness stories are thrown into the mix as well as intense court scenes and shocking news articles!

There. Now you have a synopsis - do you REALLY want to continue reading? :P

oh yes, DO share...:P

Or you could just update livejournal, so long as I get to read, hehe.

I second Samanz suggestion, you should share it with us here. We aren't enemies and you could always make new friends.

I'm working on nano! I'm behind though - and I'm fairly certain I'll give up after about 10,000 words. ;)
