Naqshbandi

Salamalaikum all,

Hope u are all fine with the grace of Allah Thala.

I am curious abt the naqshbandi sufi tariqa's emphasis. For eg, I know that the shadiliya focus on thanking Allah, and the halveti and Rumi's tariqa focus on 'Love', whereas Ghazali focused on 'Fear of Allah'.
I am not sure what the NAqshbandi'f focus is on? ANy thoughts?
Jazakallah khairan

Can I ask you something? What is it that you are really trying to find? Are you trying to decide which tariqa to join? If so I might be able to provide some advice.

Ws Bro Sundaymorning,
Jazakalah for this piece of info. I'm still struglling with the difference between "Rabitah" and Murabakat. What is each and how does one do them in the practical step by step way???

Assalaam al aykum, Sis.

Naqshbandiyyah literally means "engraver of the heart", so Dzhikr ul Allah (Remembrance of God) is paramount in the Tariqat. This ties with "Rabitah" (Connection)or "Murabakat" (Meditation) which are forms of Dzhikr. Of course, the Award (Liturgy) and Salah are also emphasized as they are all forms of Dzhikr.

Wa Allah hu wallam.
