Need a Muslim baseball fan for WSJ article on 1951 World Series
From the ADC:
Wall Street Journal reporter Joshua Prager is currently writing a book about baseball's most famous moment, a home run hit on October 3, 1951. It was then at the Polo Grounds in Harlem, New York, that Bobby homson hit a home run off of Ralph Branca. The home run gave the New York Giants the pennant over the Brooklyn Dodgers and came to be known as the 'Shot Heard Round the World.'
He's working on a chapter in the book about fans of
different faiths who were following the game on radio and television.
Here's where you come in: Joshua is hoping to find a Muslim baseball fan who remembers tuning in on that Wednesday afternoon 54-plus years ago.
If you or someone you know did, please contact Joshua at 212-787-1804 or [email protected].
