.....NEVER SAY UFFFFF.....

when i was young i wud wait all day for the icecream truck...and sit next to the window with my eyes fixed on both ends of the street cuz i knew it wud turn up any minute. as soon as the van entered our street it wud start playing the music...and my mom wud go 'bachay pyaray they only play that music when they've run out of icecream and so everyone wud know that they only going home"...i sometimes used to wonder why they always ran out of icecream right when they entered our street.
my mom loves me too much... and she tries to show her love through feeding me properrrrrrrr when i visit her. she also gave me shaami kebab this time when i was coming back to london, and i was stopped at the airport and issued a written warning for bringing illegal meat in the country.
what i wanna know is.....it is in our religion never to even say 'ufffffff' in front of our parents....but i say alot more than just uff...i argue with em all the time....and for some reason they like it that way...cuz if i am quite someday they get worried, and my dad says 'too much sakuuun in the house today, where is ali'....cuz he is so used to hearing me and my mom arguing.....what shud one do in such a situation.

Obviously it was hard, cuz it involved a long response, tears, scolding, fancy schmancy words. UFFFFFFFFFF!

Red, easier said than done. And regarding your 'batameez' comment, speak for yourself :) When I first expressed by ufff to my parents, I felt a phooof on my cheek. Instead of that word losing it's charm, it had the opposite effect. When in future sheer frustrations, my uffff would come out more frequently.

LOL @ FON- 2 years ago I went to Jamaica 2 weeks after redundancies for my childhood friends wedding. He rented a house on the beach, just breathtaking gorjus. After my long red-eye flight from LA to Jamaica, I got there in time for breakfast at a gazebo in the back of the house. Within minutes people came up to us trying to sell stuff. My friends cracked up as I bought a Jamaican weavy hat, beeded necklace and chapals. I was already cooling off with my loose tacky shirt

Sukuun is when you stop yelling, nagging, complaining, crying. So yes, it means peace and quiet

Depends on what you argue over..Difference of opinion will always cause disagreements. Walking away is the best option..I argue mostly with my mum..my dad and I on the same wavelength..Party cos I am a daddy's girl..

wow thats interesting.. i guess just not argue and let the sukoon continue huh? i mean im pretty sure there have been times when u'd argue it would hurt her or upset her.. and thats what you have to prevent.. so just avoid the whole argument and sukoon all the wayy
