New Muslims Support

I was watching an interview with someone who recently became a muslim its so important to lestin to them , understand and learn about the experince , this stopped me to think , we born as muslims and we have many chellenges how about those people who have to change many things in their lives , they need real brothers and sisters , i hope we can worktogether to give this more ateention and provide needed support , give them the stage to tell their stories
i think this is desreve our effort , i am inviting any one to develop a tool to invite those people to be conected to their surrroundings
would appreciate get more ideas and thoughts

great points laila...i think it would be awsome if you started up something for the converts...i was told that they need a new teacher for the sunday womens class too!

by the way, it's also very important to take care of the converts, before the kuffar can do it. There are many many kuffar out there who are just waiting to "reach out" to Muslims, especially new ones and vulnerable or financially needy ones. They bring them in by their donations and generosity and gradually start to fill up their heads with ideas, astaghfurallah. Another great reason we should always keep the converts and other Muslims in mind and stay in touch with them/help them.

It's definitely a must to keep strong ties to the new Muslims and offer them support. I actually posted an entry about this on the converts village because I would really like to start some kind of committee, or even just an informal support group/mentor program, for converts in our community. mashaAllah, there is a large number of converts, and I'm just afraid that people in the community sort of forget about them and they disappear after a while.

my parents friend, a convert women left the classes in the masjids as they were too advanced, and to learn arabic, she had to mix with young ones, not that easy...So she try to learn more in her house with her husband and some books by her own; but alhamdulillah, she had and still have the support of my parents; and especially my father since she came to ask for help when he was member of a muslim association; since that day, we never stop being in contact. Today, she is married to a muslim guy and they have 2 Sweet girls; last year, mashallah, her mother came to visit her after many years and , subhannallah, her mother converted to; It is important to help the converts and, to create special classes, because this sister could have learn more being in a special class;

mashallah ur're right.... i remember when i was in tempe, AZ at the masjid there...they have convert classes once a week! i think thats an awsome class for new Muslims to learn and share with each other :)I beleive every masjid should have these classes to guide the new Muslims because the regular womens classes are too advanced for them....another thing is, we need to keep them in our circle...dont lose contact with them...so many times ive heard of a grl coming and taking the shahada at the masjid then no one knows what ever happened to her after a while because no one kept in touch with her! we need to make everyone feel wanted, especally new Muslims :)
