New Orleans

I am quite curious how they can justify rebuilding the city of New Orleans after what has happened with Katrina.

New Orleans was described as a city that rests in the middle of a land bowl surrounded by water. It will take months to just pump out the water.

It would be best in my opinion to abandon the city and rebuild it somewhere else which is much safer.

What does everyone else think abou this?

I dont neccessarily agree with you. Of course we have to keep the natural disasters like this in mind when rebuilding but abandoning shouldn't be an option. 25% land in Netherlands is below sea level. They dont abandon it, they take safety precautions. Thats what we have to do and thats what I think we will do.
