fo real. anywayz; i don't know how people are just takin eli's passer rating after 4 games and concluding he's better than byron based on that. you yourself said he's got way more talent around him, and obviously that's gonna reflect on his stats. i think tanveer mentioned something about him gettin tips from bobblehead and pops, which i agree definitely helps his development. in the end, they're both good; but i like byron better, and i think he has all the tools to be a star QB in the league just as that geek eli does. i think your racist TOK cause he's a brutha. top 5 QB's - Mcnabb, Brady, Manning, Favre, and Vick. i wouldn't put green in there (although i think he's really good), because i think his stats are helped a lot by having a great catchin RB in the backfield. kinda what kurt warner had with faulk a few yrs back. id put mcnair in there 2 yrs ago, but the poor guy just plays on a shitty team.
juz to let u knw, i rooted for da birds last february 6th @ jacksonville. But rite now, im talkin abt this yr-so far, and wot i saw so far, was one bad wk, one good, one bad, one good wk. and dat isnt enuff to make it in top5. Im sorry were u guys talkin abt best QB's so far this yr, or juz in general...
Eli, defenitely. Do u guys rem Wk 3, Giants v/s Chargers, 4th quarter, 3and 10, Eli seeing his recievers covered, made a rush and dove head first(like a RB) to get the 1st down-Wot i saw was comittment, presence of mind(a lil risky though) there on this young QB. I am not basing my judgements on this play(:P)alone, but his passing rating, n td passes(both better than byron) speak for himself and his team scorin 2nd most points in the league. Eli can finally put the line "Everybody loves Peyton" off his closet lol. Havin said dat, i wud still tink he is not in top 5 yet(he will be there soon though). My top 5 would be Peyton, Favre, Brady, Collins(the guy is yet to be picked up), Palmer.
Well put and beautifully explained KID. I can see us doing one of those sirius satellite commercials. You in your eagles jersey. Me in my G-Men jersey. "Why can't we be friends, why can't we be friends" playing in the background. :P
If i had to choose between Eli and Byron i'd definalty take Eli, i'm not saying Byron isnt a good QB but i think Eli has the tools to become a leader on the Giants, in my eyes i think he's still a rookie but a good rookie, in the sense he is gradually getting better and once he hits his prime, or not prime but starts playing consistantly his confidence level will stay up and use his weapons making defences not stack the box as much like now and drive down the field with ease, this week is going to be tough test against a good Cowboys defense but something to just make him better in the long run and if he wins which is possible, more power to him. I think its tough saying who's better between the Manning brothers, well obviously Peyton is better right now lol since he's the TD accuracy king but he also has more experiance with his arsenal of players on offense, and both the Colts and Giants have totally different offenses and Eli may never get as many TDs like bigbrother but in the future i think he will be just as succesfull, he's not gonna be one of those QBs that has to 'manage' a game cause he has a lot more talent then that, but having a running game and mixing it up with the passing i think he will be succesfull and can lead that team to the playoffs, this year honestly will be tough in my eyes but a player that only gets better like Eli, will stay good and solid once he gets to that level just like brother bobble head Peyton...i read somewhere in a earlier post bout J.P Losman, like i predicted in the offseason i think the Bills will win the East if they keep Holcomb in, which i think Mularkey wont do and doesnt make sense cause i never thought Losman would be succesful in this league, to me he's like Boller and Boller being the better of the two, it is Losmans 'rookie' since he didnt play last year but i dont see anything in him that impresses me. Holcomb is the man and with a defense like that man, you dont need to pass for 400yds but just make completoins and go from there, something Losman hasnt done and i think cant do, Bills have good recievers and a amazing rb but i dont know man, i dont think Losman will do good this year but who knows he is the 'future' QB, i'm not talkin smack but i wouldnt want him on my team to build on for the future..
top 5: manning. mcnabb, brady, favre and all of a sudden, I have to take Culpepper out of that discussion and move up Vick. Vick because of his game breaking skills as well as win/loss record.
Man, I can just tell when I watch somebody play what they can do. I don't get that feeling about Byron. Does anyone think the guy will ever be a stud? I mean lets get it out in the open. Will Byron Leftwhich ever be a top 5 QB in this league? I say NO! I dont even see him cracking the top 10. Will Eli Manning ever be a top 5 QB in this league? I say yes. I say he has a chance to be better then his brother. Not to mention Shockey was just locked up for another seven years along with Plaxico for 6 years. This offense is gonna be good for years to come. And when Tiki opts out in 3-4 years, Brandon Jacobs will take over. Who are you kidding man? Fred Taylor is not called fragile Fred for nothing. Jimmy Smith is 37 years old. There is no promise in Jacksonville. Matt Jones and Reggie Williams? Come on man. But put that all a side. I still don't think the 2 QB's are even on the same talent level. If they switch teams, I still don't see Byron playing as well as Eli. Sorry, I just don't see him as talented as Eli.
Don't hate cuz JP Losman ain't good enough to clean my shoes funk. After this week, Eli will have 3 straight 300 yard games. Then what are you gonna say??? And yeah, I'm excited that my team has a LEGIT franchise QB and things look VERY promising from a Giants fan's perspective. But that doesnt mean we wouldn't be talking about this if I wasnt a Giants fan.
it's ramzan; so i aint on crack. this is byrons third year and he's doin just fine. oh yeah; eli has a sick TE, something byron's never had. we'll get back to this later in the season; it's obvious at the moment your on eli's nuts cause he's on the giants.
BTW-YEAH, I said it. Take me to court on it. Eli will be selected by more people then Byron first, if a team was to start tomorrow and you needed a QB.
