No Lockout!!

I am surprised (pleasently, of course). The NBA and the players agreed to a new collective bargaining agreement!! This is great news!

The 19 year age limit could get some kids to college - who may end up being groomed to become a decent NBA player. The really talented high school ball players could still go to Junior Colleges for a year or play in Europe or South America for a year and GET PAID! The NBA and NCAA need to work together and draft a proposal stating IF a player decides to go to college with scholarship that he should be required to play out at least 2 years of the scholarship OTHERWISE making him ineligible for the NBA. Bottom line: the NCAA could care less about these kids' education its all about the money.

naw...i think the age limit is good. it would have been better at 20, but at least this will allow nba teams to get a better feel for players coming into the draft. plus you'll see some of the top high schoolers starting to realize that they're not ready for the nba even after a year of college (e.g. chris paul, rudy gay...)which might make them stay even longer and properly develop.

The age limit at 19 seems pointless. Very arbitrary.

Every indication was pointing to a lockout BUT the Players Union and the league really worked out an agreement. Let the FA signing period begin!!
