No more Hizb!!
Some of you may have noticed that the notorious and headline grabbing political extremist party called Hizb ut-Tahrir has or soon will be banned in the UK.
In recent years, it had already been banned in some European countries such as Germany and Denmark, and I dear say good riddance to them!
For far to long, the UK Muslim youth have been in-doctored with views that an ?Islamic State? is the only way to save them from their day-to-day issues.
Oh Really??
Have we ever put education first, second or even third on the UK Muslim agenda. Muslim students consistently perform poorly when compared with other ethnic groups in the UK at all levels.
I would been the first one to say that there is a place for Islam in a social context within the UK but a radical and extremist political party with some outlandish views on simple day-to-day topics. I say no way!
With views like you should not have car insurance, now I am no Islamic expert but I live in the real world and you cant drive around without insurance, just no bl**dy way!
Since the early 1990?s this group and others like them, have tried to skim off our young Muslim intellectuals away from UK?s higher educational institutions into radical and extremist theories. We needed these very people to engage intelligently to influence policy and practice in the UK. This can only be done with the backbone of strong education, personal ambition and with a collective sense of direction.
Radicalising our youth is not the way forward, I feel that Hizb had pushed us back from our goals and now that they are gone. We now have an opportunity to push ahead in becoming a successful and proactive community in the UK.
Come on, anyone who feels we are going to gain greater political influence and clout by not voting is not living in the real world! The example of the disruption by Islamist thugs of an election meeting run by the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) regarding the influence of the Muslim vote in marginal constituencies is only one point in case.
Another, is the battle within the UK Muslim community between the moderate mainstream and these fanatical extremists trying to hijack vital agenda?s to impose their own intolerant views on fellow British Muslims has now starting to recede at last!
With nearly two million people and only four MP?s between us, such a sad state of affairs cannot and should not be allowed to continue?

Comments on this journal
My family had left more then fifty years ago for the UK, so I was born in the UK like all my siblings.
You should stay in the country you where born in...no sorry you cant its way too Islamic for you..I know!
My comments are for the UK alone and not your despot ruled country..the US that?s if you really live there or not in some shantytown in downtown Hyderabad Sind!
You cant stay in England long enough to find out the real UK because you and your family on some Mi5 extremist watch list.
You cant find a real girl in your home country so get a online girl in the UK until she get an arranged marriage to her?I mean your first cousin? sorry you date your first cousin then she brings you over to work in some chicken farm factory.
Excuse me you don?t know my past or me either but that didn?t stop you making comments about me?like a passport seeking pindu that you really are!
After much investigation?you make your comment about my marriage and then have the impertinence to ask why I comment on you.
You can?t tell me or any other person how to live their life in the UK or any other country mind your own bloody business, my dear desi jerk!
At 19 you will not have a clue about women till your at least say 125.
And yes this is a free world, so bloody stop make personal attacks at me or anyone else!!!
Iraq has no direct relationship in my journal entry but I was there with two million other UK citizens marching in London in 2003 where was your dear Hizb then? To top it off my family background is Kashmiri; so don?t lecture me about illegally occupied countries in the Islamic world!!
I have attended many Islamic conferences since 1988 when you where?at most two years old in your nappies! I know more of the UK Hizb leadership then you ever will, but still you think you know more about the UK Hizb then me..?
The path I choose is mine to choose, the method, the way forward for the UK Muslims is a challenge only British Muslims and the rest of UK society to bare the mantel into the 21st Century.
As for you, go to back to your rubbish tip of home and enjoy listening to some dumb Hindi music eating some stale pakora?s! :P
Allah Hafiz!!
