Rio is the most Intelligent footballer in the world another thing he has in common with old Becks ;)

Looks like Rio is giving Beckham a run for his money in the flamer department.

hmmm... I think he/Rio missed his manditory drug-test because he was getting his Ferrari's serviced and was "unreachable", lol... yet he's always seen w/ cel'phone while driving (as per the speed-cameras on the motorways!) he's such a tosser, i'm sorry!

hmmm... I was reading that Cole wanted 60K GBP weekly pay from Chelski, and the best Arsenal had offered was 55K GBP in late December. That's a difference of 5K/weekly!?! Rio Ferdinand spends more on socks & hair-braiding than that... grrr! All this mess over 5K, sheesh.

If Cole leaves the Arse which looks likley and Freddy is making noises about leaving I can see one or two other big names getting a bit unsettled....so Chelski may be able to tempt them but I doubt it will happen. On a positive note I hear Red Romski is gonna get shafted by the Russian Goverment so the money could soon run out....

Guti SHOULD leave...you'd figure Real would learn after Makelele to appreciate the talent they have and not chase overpriced egos but they haven't won squat since they let him go to Chelsea

Hahahaha Raul at Liverpool! GOOD ONE! He's said he would never leave Madrid. But Uppercut, Raul might be doing bad just in Madrid. I mean, look at Morientes. His season on loan at Monaco did wonders for him. He was the top scorer in the CL that season! And I agree with you on Guti. I'm surprised he stuck it out at Madrid after Beckham was brought in cuz he was threatening to leave. But that's exactly what he should have done.

I'll tell you whats NOT FAIR....Bloody Chelsea, they are taking the piss with their new found wealth, latest news is they are now accused of tapping Frank Arsesen, and this days after the whole Cole saga....All this money is gonna spoil football if it continues to go the way it is...wheres the LOYALTY we once had?

Argentinians are a very proudish, vain, and narcissistic lot. The English don't care if you're King or Queen, if you don't deliver- they'll let you have it!

i think it's a combination language/weather/culture issue for a lot of Argentines in the premiership...and if they have families, they have to worry about how they're adjusting as well

Arabgirl...don't know if Dudek is leaving but he definitely won't be the #1 choice if he sticks around with Reina coming in...they'll have 4 or 5 keepers in the squad if he stays

Wait, wait, wait...Dudek's leaving Liverpool? Did I miss something? I gotta agree with Inthamix on Aimar though. Maybe it's an Argentinian thing in the Premiership. Veron and Crespo (!) both were awful in England, but crazy in Italy. With the exception of Heinze, I don't think I've seen any good from Argentinian players in England. I know this def belongs in the Bashing Madrid JE but I can't access that either since I'm not an effing premium member (which btw is really starting to get on my last nerve). HIERRO! Letting him go was not a good call for Madrid's defense. He was such a good, reliable defender!

I think Aimar would do alot better than Veron in the premiership...Im a Big Veron fan, but he was Hugely disapointing when he came here...but put that boy into Serie A and he's a CUT ABOVE .

Aimar can easily be another Veron... (maladapted for the Premiership)

that swap would be great for Liverpool but Valencia would have to lose their collective minds to make that deal...Vicente is a more likely possibility, and it looks like they'll sign Reina from Villareal to replace Dudek

Aimar for Baros...your having a laugh. While Baros is OK at times, Aimar is a Class act. Valencia would be foolish to do a swap involving him for Baros unless they got some cash as well even then I cant see it. But who knows what with Rafa's spanish connections.

Figo does bring to light an excellent point, in that host-countries get automatic bid to compete in a tournament whereas defending champions have to qualify. I guess Liverpool's redemption can be that if they win the UEFA Cup next year, they can face the Champions League winners.
