NYC or DC
Deciding between these two cities has more to do with my job opportunities, but I'm drawn to NYC's rich cultural life. I love that stuff but It does seem like stressful living and I'm kinda laid back. (Right now I'm with family in Central New York and kinda like it) So what do you guys say? DC or NYC?
Is it easier to meet people in NYC or harder?
Is it safe or dangerous?
Is it really that expensive?
Are the men as wierd as they seem?
Assume that I'm talking about Queens/Long Island, Brooklyn, Staten Island, or Manhattan.

Your questions in order:
1) its easy to meet people but hard to get to know them. NYKers tend to be time-constrained and always running around. Its can be tough.
2) Manhattan is pretty safe everywhere...you do have to be reasonably careful. don't walk around in shady areas late at night and you'll be fine.
3) Manhattan is expensive to live (rents are really high and spaces are small). Everything else is pretty reasonable.
4) Off course not...the men are great (see how much advice they're giving you.
