Off season moves

What off season moves did you like and dislike from the bears?

I think they had a decent offseason since they strengthened their offenses line up front and added a premier WR. What I didn't like was them grabbing another RB when they already have a good one in thomas jones. With the help on the offenses line they have now, TJ should have a much better year. I think they should have picked up a good 2nd man to goto for WR.

I dislike them not picking a veteran QB as a starter or backup. Their QBs are way too young and Grossman is a wimp IMHO.

Grossman = YAHUDIE...may Allah leave a stone for him to fall on, so he can have another ACL injury...
QB we picked up late in the round should be mediocre, with a chance of being good ONLY if BENSON turns into a RICKY on the field (not like ricky in jamaica)

I want TONY PARISH back, he was a beast...he used to use that wrestling move on all these receivers, it was PIMP (clothesline - i think, thas what its called)
MIKE BROWN and TONY PARISH = scared receivers...remember marvin Harrison said of parish, "i've nvr been hit that hard"

all and all 9 - 7 season with an OUTSIDE, very outside chance in the playoff...

Curtis Enis now sells shoes at DSW shoe warehouse. I hear he is an assistant supervisor.

Im predicting a solid 9-7 or 8-8 season. In the NFC, that might be more than enough for a playoff spot.

Tanveer - agreed. Circuit - I second that! maybe with hakim on the roster the bears can have jumma on fridays (with all the muslims on the roster) before their saturday games.

correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't az-zahir hakim a free agent because the Lions waived him, and if so, lets pick him up...

sark: i hear what ure saying about terrell. but i agree with your emphasis on 'ONLY' - i don't see him being okay with a secondary role at all - the guy's ego would not have been able to handle it. i think he was one of those players that *although* he was good - his attitude didn't cut it (kinda like artest for the bulls or sosa for the cubs). personally, i was bummed when we traded booker to the dolphins. sure we got ogunleye - but a lot of good that did us last year with him mostly on the bench.

Tanveer - I agree about quinn and shea being gone, but Terrell i'm partial about. He wasn't a good first WR, but I think with most of the attention now going to Muhsin, Terrell would have been a good second option ONLY if he would not complain about the role. Of course I don't think he was given enough credit and although he did drop some easy tosses, he didn't have the best QB's throwing to him and when they did track onto him, it was really late or too soon.

UC - Don't get me wrong. I agree that grossman has great raw talent, but it's only good if you stay healthy and that's what I worry about with grossman. He doesn't seem like the ironman that Favre is and ya Muhammad and Williams with Jones in the back is what I was looking for during the draft. But I think more then anything, the offensive line was at fault for a lot of the Bears lack of first downs (along with crappy qb backups), but I swear I've never seen so many sacks in a single season before.

agreed on mike brown - he rocks. glad terrell, quinn and terry shea are no longer around either. hopefully, bringing back ron turner will help the offense. . .

Adding on - I'm also excited about Mike Brown being back in the lineup after missing most of last season. Not only is he back .. but they say he's more explosive then ever www.chicagobears.com
