old times vs new times

are you more into the old times or new times?

i don't care if people may call me old mind, but i like things that is old such as old fashion. old life has more meaning and more value. today everything fast, easier and less valuable....

Masreyah, my bad if you thought i was attacking your views. your points are valid and clear. But what makes you think that the old times were times of relaxing and enjoying life?? there are always threats that a particular goverment has to face. for the USA, it might be like u said; getting every drip of black gold out there. But shift back a few of centuries ago, do you think americans were any more relaxed given the communist threats (SSR) and the being of a country such as the US. sorry for the not so lucid example, but it's past my bedtime.

this thread is so biased. That's not true about "life on earth" ya masreyah. there are a lot of "new timers" that care and always seek a better quality of living and not so much of a higher salary. The "old times"'s way of doing things gives me a sense of igonrance regarding many issues which we have to deal directly with nowadays rather than simply ignoring them as we did in the past.

Definitely OLD...

Some terminologies that remind me of today:
Protein-injected
Injustice
Corruption
Silicon
No time
Materialism
Fake
Moral deterioration
Kolo mashi (everything goes)
Helplessness
Cowardice
Semi-men and semi-women (sorry!)

The funny thing is that people back then also longed for old times :) So maybe we just need to make the best out of it..
