Online vs. F2F relationships
What do you think are the pros and cons of online and face-2-face relationships? Do you prefer one over the other? If so, why?
note: by online, I mean meeting online, and then possibly turning that into a face-to-face relationship.

"Combining f2f contact with online contact of various types offers people the opportunity to explore and integrate different cognitive styles and ways of being. Different channels of communication may work best for different people."
Well ok i copied it from some cartoon but yeah nothing wrong in online relationships. Seems they are going to grow because of the ease that they provide in communicating with people who are physically far away but close to you mentally and emotionally.
online pros
- shy people find it easier to interact with ppl via net and open up more too, feel more comfortable etc.
- you are more likely to meet a wider variety of ppl as f2f u tend to meet ppl who work/study in the same circles as yourself.
- you dont need to sneak out to make contact with 'NetFreak' but can type sweet nothings via Net and noone will be wiser *tsk tsk naughty naughty
online cons
- initial contact via net is fine, but to make it a proper friendship one has to meet, else it dwindles away be it a romantic or platonic relationship
- via net u can be the most exciting dynamic person, in person you are a boring sod
- net pics are always 'the best' pics of one, in reality they will look different
generally i dont think theres anything wrong with meeting anyone online and then turning it into face to face contact. It is a means of communication/contact. Some people I initially met from the net I consider to be great buddies :D
Ok Tops it is! :)
Do i see a TopStar alliance here?
Wink wink
