Paheli

Well, the movie Paheli with Shah Rukh and Rani recently hit theaters and I saw it the other day. It is a okayyy movie. The colors are vibrant and the people are beautiful but the story line is not that deep. It's almost like a fairytale movie. Personally, I think the movie could have been alot better.

That's when men had to dress nice. Their clothes were tailored 'cause that's the only way they came. No one wore baggy jeans down to their knees unless they wanted to be ostracized! Sigh! Ha, ha! Sorry, hopeless romantic, who just loves the look of a man in tailored clothes.

That's cool. I liked the period. I really liked that era here in America too. There was a romance to it if you ask me. And I love the clothes they wore. Lol...

Watch it for the costumes and jewellery. I read in the Director's note that it was all original and GENUINE Rajasthani jewellery, not the imitation kind. He blew so much $$$ on security. I thought it was a sweet and simple story and just take it for what it is.

I agree, Momo89. Only Parineeta didn't live up to that, so they shouldn't have tried.
