PAHELI IS FINALLY OUT AND WHAT'S THE VERDICT?

my verdict is that, it is one of the slowest movie ever. there are some funny parts but overall i was hoping much more. i did zonk out a couple of times. but i will admit, all the clothes, jewelry worn by the women and the men were just amazing!!!! everything was well shot everyone acted well, the story didnt live up to the expectations!

Very boring, slow, disappointing given the leads are usually my favorite actor/actress, didn't bother finishing it out.

Personally, I found "Paheli" to be very interesting. But, I concede, it would not have worked without high-calibre actors like SRK and Rani (and without the fantastic chemistry between the leads). And, I saw it in the theatre - which I think added to my appreciation of the film. I got to fully experience the beautiful cinematography - the landscapes, the colors, the jewellry, the clothes. If I had rented it, I probably would have been bored and this review would have been entirely different.

the film was different, you can't have your expectations too high or you will be disappointed. this movie worked because of the main actors, srk and rani. if you put some chunky actors in there it would have been a flop. i never knew anything about rajistan, and now i have an idea. this definitely needed to be seen on the big screen, its not a good rental.

Honestly i love shahrukh khan but with paheli i went with like ten family members (typical desi for the day) at the end of the movie only two of us walked out of the theater. I mean the story wasn't realistic, the animation the dolls it all made the movie look real tacky. I was getting annoyed with the side commentary from the dolls. I mean I really enjoyed the cinematography, the vivid colors, the jewelry, and all the scenic rajasathani views but in the end the movie did not entertain me. In the end I think with this movie it's either you like it or you don't. If you find yourself as the artsy type you will like it but it's not your typical masala film. Rani was great...and Shahrukh acted good but nothing spectacular.

haha bummer Sarahc!
I agree with Usa_Den it was boring. Dont know if others had problem understanding rajistani dialect but i was relying on Subtitles most of the times.

as much as i didnt appreciate paheli that much i really like the songs...especially Kangna Re...i mean everything was good therefore expectations were high but then the story just didnt make sense...i mean if the ghost was gonna go into srk anyways we did we have to sit 3 hrs for it to do it.
