so i played last minute at a pakistani relief benefit show. i found out about it an hour before it happened and played tabla and drums with disconnect myspace.com). well we had fun, the music was great, but the fact that i was the only pakistani or desi there and there were only about 10 people there, was very disheartening. i tried to play a show up in nyc with dj rekha, but that fell thru. so last night got me thinking, why have i done a very succesfull louisiana benefit show here in dc, but nothing for pakistan? i did do that fun naseeb car wash, and boy did we raise alot of money. but at a show, we can raise awareness as well.

so that being said. does anyone have any ideas? i can get the bands on board. i think METROPOLITAN could headline it since we have three asians in the band. and we have a bit of a following now. www.bigyawn.net) and get maybe encompass to open. maybe do it in april.

any ideas? black cat or iota? make it a naseeb party/show/benefit? heheh.
