Palestine is a city in the states!!!

No, don't pay attention to the title, just read my findings.

Ever heard of Microsoft MapPoint? It is interactive map software used as a tool to analyze business info using maps. I typed Palestine there and I found the following interesting lists:

Palestine is a city name in 17 U.S. states:
Texas(2 cities) Arkansas, Illinois, Franklin, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, West Virginia, Connecticut, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Mississippi(3 cities), Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee ( 2 cities), West Virginia.
I even found a Best Western Palestine Inn located in Palestine, Texas!!!

Yeah Sharene, Jessica Lynch is from Palestine, West Virginia. What a great observation!!!

I read Jessica Lynch'e story in the Guardian and thought the same way you did! How ironic indeed.

Wasn't Jessica Lynch (the captured-then-released Army Pfc.) from Palestine, WV? I always found that to be ironic when watching the news. And...do residents of these cities call themselves Palestinian?
