Finally had a chance to the the movie 'Paradise Now' and just trying to convince others to go out and see it too. The movie has been getting great reviews and many expect that it will be nominated for an academy award for best foreign film.

The basic premise behind the film is about two Palestinian suicide bombers and what is to be the last 48 hours of their life. Without completely supporting suicide bombers or being completely apologetic about it the movie does and amazing job addressing the psychological factors motivating the decision and the social impact of Isreali occupation on the Palestinians living there.

It is also nice seeing a talented Muslim Palestinian film maker getting this much acclaim and awards (especially for a subject that I normally would never expect Hollywood, the media and Warner Bros to support). We should support him and his film by taking our friends to see it(both Muslim AND non Muslim). It it all filmed on location in Israel and Nablus, Palestine. The subject and images will be eye opening for most westerners and Americans who don't have a clue about what its like to live in Palestine and under Israeli occupation.
