People who get lots of rope
How true is the saying that people who are up to no good get a worry free existence on earth, and don't seem to be tested as much as the rest of us.
thx humble for clarifying, in that case the answer is very simple and within. We as humans have some inherent qualities from our creator. Listening to our praise from somebody else always ammuses us. It get the "Godly" feeling in us to an elevated level, so as a result we also feel kinda obliged to fulfill the needs of the person charming us (another godly behavior). So if you look closely, there is no fault in the person being obliged as its a builin feature or factory default.
I guesss I was referring to my observation of people around me and how their situation tallies with the respite mentioned in verses from the Quran like Surah an Nahl : "If Allah were to punish men for their wrong-doing, He would not leave, on the (earth), a single living creature: but He gives them respite for a stated Term: When their Term expires, they would not be able to delay (the punishment) for a single hour, just as they would not be able to anticipate it (for a single hour)."
"People who are up to no good get a worry free existence on earth", may be not, especially when i look at the number of inmated all over the country/earth, even with the assumption that 20% of them are innocent, the rest of the inmate population does not compare to a few spoiled brats. Why is that we always try to look up to someone/someplace we wanna be and not be thankful for where we are by looking down.
I have experienced blessings in many other forms and ways from refraining from doing something bad, even when 'justified' and when I had the power to do so. And it does not always happen the next day. Some blessings have an apparent connections, others don't. It's Gods way.
People who get lots of rope, is used to hang oneself later. J/k.
I have actually seen 'Bad People' reap what they sowed in the present life.
There is a great book called "Why Bad Things Happen to Good People" written by a Rabbi. I read it during a theological crisis I had. The book brought me back to my faith in God.
I remember at an Islamic lecture once, the speaker said that those who are bad, God gives them everthing good that they want on earth, because there will be nothing for them in the hereafter but the fires of hell. Never came across that bit myself in the Quran or hadith..........
