Hakeem was no Mark Eaton! Now that boy could block everything.

MehmetOkur and DickieV have been blocked from the NBA village for continuing to instigate and attack other members after I warned them to stop or face a block. I hope these two are the last ones I have to block and all of you can enjoy what this forum was made for: talking about basketball. Otherwise I don't mind being the Hakeem Olajuwon of Naseeb and blocking everything I see. :D

"Game oveerrr, Flip Flip!!"

I am ready to see what Darko and Delfino can do with a more meaningful role off the bench.

Last time i checked, pistons got a lot farther than your heat did. Look for shaq to break down by the end of the regular season.

isiah is gonna offer him phil jackson type of money...for sure he's goin to NY, and then he'll ditch um' after they make the playoffs, just like he always does...

Acrobat, its gonna be your boys vs. mine next year in the finals...the pistons are gonna be more focused, and less side show drama to deal with...they'll get homecourt, and the trophy once again inshaAllah

he'll go in a couple months, looks like it's gonna be flip in detroit. i like flip but i don't think he's an elite coach. it'll be interesting to see how he goes from having a franchise post and running things through him to having a "team"

i just wanted to bring this topic back up... now that it looks real dim for LB to come back to the pistons.... do yall think hes gonna go to ny?

it sounds like flip will be the next coach, not izzo or daly. i think whoever we get will be solid. joe d knows what he's doing.

Daly is a legend, Joe D would take him back in a hearbeat. I don't see a coach who would be a better fit than him.

hey may be sharp, but i want the next coach to stick around for 5 yrs or more. tom izzo is perfect for an nba gig now. he has done it all at msu.

LB is notorious for ditching teams...but you can't deny the fact that he's a master at taking crappy teams and turning them around. i don't think he wants to coach next season, and would rather take an executive position, which the Cavs are offering. whatever the case, i don't think Det. fans should be worried this year; the players played as if they hadn't heard the reports.

He's 74, but I think he's better than any choice out there. I met him a few weeks back, and man, he's as shapr as ever, with a great knowldge of the game.

chuck daly? lol drdetroit he is like 77 yrs old.

Hey T-786, didnt LB do the same thing when he left the pace show for philly in 1996? I mean, this is the type of stuff that you have to deal with when you have larry brown...you have to take the good with the bad. The good was a championship, maybe 2 inshaAllah, so thats pretty good....personally, I'd love to see the legendary Chuck Daly come out of retirement, but Tom Izzo would take the job if its offered to him.

tom izzo will be the next coach IMO

Its pretty much official....Larry Brown has told two league sources that he plans to take the Cavaliers' offer to become their next team president. According to the sources, who spoke to ESPN.com on Monday evening, Brown said he would accept the position after the Pistons' season is over. Apparently, he is allowed to accept another position in principle while being a coach with his current team.
