I think the piston fans have been very gracious in their words. I admit, i haven't read every word that they have said, but I know that we are all passionate fans and classy ones just like the organization that they root for. I have to say that some of the Miami fans (not soul or mattx) have been less than classy in defeat. We all have to use this as a lesson in humility.
Salam DrDetroit. I was a heat fan who stuck to my guns as well; props to Mattx, DesiKnight, Funk, and others. We never disappeared or made offensive comments. As for your celebration Dr. Sibe, I had the same feeling watching the Yanks from '88-'95, until they finally won it in '96. That was priceless, so I totally understand your celebration and happiness. As for the other NY teams, they never appealed to me. And finally, if you actually observe the Heat fans' posts in comparison to "others," you'll see who actually goes below the belt with profanities and excessive sarcasm. It is funny how some people use profanity behind a computer where they feel safe behind a bogus identity, miles away from their intended target(s), but in the real world, they would not be utilizing the same type of language because of the ramifications associated with their actions. Salam.
Matty- I've stood by my teams since the day I was born buddy. 110% detroit....i've stood by them thru lean years after the titles, the gawd awful teal-and-black years, and now in the return to glory...I don't have to talk much when the team is letting their play speak for itself...but props up to u for recognizing...thats good sportsmanship...i'd like to see some of the other heat slappies speak up like u have.
those rings look pretty nice:)...btw, all i think any piston fan is saying is to give the pistons their props...they won. they were the better team. All those months of trash talk and irrelavant statistical garbage went to the golf course monday night when the Pistons won. OUr team beat yours. Case Closed. Be a good sport and give respect where its due. The Pistons have earned it. Thats why they're the defending champs. I'll give respect to d. wade...hes a good player and will have a great career..and games 6 and 7 showed how valuble he is to his team. I will say that the officiating stunk thruout the series...that is until the last 6 minutes of 4th quarter when the refs swallowed the whistles, and the boys played real basketball. Spurs and pistons will be a great series, great matchups from 1 thru 12...pistons in 6.
Funkadelic, Desi, Mattx, and others - they are calling us haters? I could actually care less since they all make millions and have the summers off while getting paid. From here on, it does not matter who wins the NBA title because the Heat are eliminated. It just shows that you cannot rely on two players since anything can happen to them physically. What ever happens, so be it! It is always destiny and written before it happens. I will not be watching the NBA finals because it will be boring. Salam to all, and have a great summer and early fall.
where u at desidyke? all that talk about mourning kickin our ass? was he even playing in game 7? all u haters have nothin to do but recycle your predictions by jumping on the spurs ship, which i fully expect you losers to do. just admit the fact that the pistons were the better team. i know its must be painful for you to admit, but frankly, you have no argument right now. the pistons are validating themselves as world champions, and there aint nuthin you or the rest of you suckas can do about it!!!!! DEEEEEEEEEEE-TROOOOOOOOOOIIIIT BASKETBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't ever doubt the heart of a champion. I gotta giver props up to Stockpicker, myself, DickieV, agent 2000, PrinceAmin, Ayshalak, Shadia, MehmetOkur, BillClinton, Queenie, Amir911 and anyone else I may have left out...you all have been fans, and inshaAllah we're gonna win it all again this year. All u haters can shut your mouths for at least another year.
WAAHHHHH WAHHHHHHHH "if miami was healthy they would've won this series" what BS. If Shaq's fat butt took care of his body maybe just maybe he would've been healthy. Face it, the way Wade plays and throws his body around, he is liable to get hurt a lot.
DON'T DOUBT MR. BIG SHOT BILLUPS I TOLD YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
well, enjoy your series, it was hard fought and deserved. Injuries are part of the game...I think a healthy miami wins this last one but we'll never know. Either way, spurs in 6, possibly 7. Should be a good series.
assuming that the big dog comes back and devin brown gives any more than a few minutes, i don't see how detroit has more depth...the spurs have been playing without 3 players, including a starter, and still have a decent bench, which includes horry, barry, and urdih...compared to mcdyess and arroyo? the pistons starting 5 match up well, if they depend on their bench, they'll get stomped.
Detroit-Spurs series will be far more competitive than Spurs-Heat. Detroit has no excuses if they lose this game tonight. If Wade is on the court, you HAVE to get physical with him. If he drives the paint make sure he takes a shot to the ribs on a hard foul. I am quite sure that Wade will have to numb the pain in his ribs - at least thats what ESPN radio was talking about this morning. This is time for Shaq to really step up and be as dominant as he used to be during his Laker days.
