Place to Stay

Hello NYers. 2 Questions.

1. To get a job in NYC is it preferable that I give a NYC address? Should I be there already? I'm in Syracuse against my will and want out.

2. Is there any (female) willing to share their place for 2 - 3 weeks in exchange for $100/wk + errands?

Email my naseeb account if you want further information. Thanks!

Salam alaykum
Nice to see someone in the same dilemma as me!
I am planning on moving to NYC/NJ area April 1 (as my lease ends here March 31) so I'm STUCK in Cincinnati (as I have been for past 10 yaers yuck)
I am finding it difficult to look for a job while I'm away from NY as most employers don't plan in advance:) lol
However, the catch 22 is that it is not the wisest to move without a job. (especially since cost of living is higher) and it usually takes me forever to find a job. (at least from my experience here ni Ohio).
I've thought about doing the roommate thing at least when I first move but the main thing is I have a cat and I'm a bit hard to live with. (I think as I'm "antisocial")
This is my very first cross country move and I want to make sure all my ducks are in a row. Any sugestions?

Better to give a new york city address or somewhere which is a close commute to NYC
