How many people have 10, 5 or even 3 year plans/goals?

We always reading about the virtues and benefits of planning things ahead, but how many of us actually set out plans and goals to achieve?

im not a great one for planning in advance....especially years in advance....one of my motto's live each day as if it's you're last one :op Having said that, the only TWO things i HOPED would happen is that one day i'd get married and Inshallah have kids..so far managed the former :o)

My short term planning is that I live one day at a time. However, long term is that InshAllah, if everything works the way I have planned, I will be retire in next 5 years ( means I don't have to work for money then ).

Cool paradise.. at last someone with a real plan.. I have goals I want to achieve somewhere in the hazy next 5 - 10 years.. apart from that I have 'next year' plans.. but you're right.. the plans we usually achieve are the ones we write down and concentrate on regularly..

I have a two year plan. I am going to start graduate school in the fall, Insha-Allah, to get my masters degree in Education. So hopefully by the spring of 2007 I will have graduated and will be ready to take whatever exams I need to take to get officially certified to become a teacher, and then hopefully by the summer of 2007 Insha-Allah I will be able to start teaching (if I find a job, that is).

10-15 years ago i used to plan, not anymore, dont think they work for me or have made me any more or less successful. Now i only work at being successful and excel at what i do without a thought out framework, and I restrict the fictitious plans (if any and if asked) 3,5 or 10 years to job interviews only.
