Just wishing everyone a great time at ISNA, turns out I will be staying behind....would have enjoyed meeting some new faces there....but I've been asked to cover the pediatric ER this weekend at Hermann and also gonna volunteer my off time at the Astrodome for the New Orleans kids that will need medical care.
I know it may not have affected any of you personally....but those of us in Houston who were around during the devastation of Hurricaine Alicia and/or Tropical Storm Alison here in Houston....we well know....it could easily have happened to us. Please do think of dropping off old clothes, food, or making a monetary donation.
23,000 refugees will start coming here tonight and many of them have nothing at all and have to start their lives over. They may be here in Houston as late as December.
