Preventing a boring wedding

Hi,

Soon it will be shaadi time for me!

Fear: waleema will be booring. Neither my friends nor I are much into danncing. Gathering will be relatively small, perhaps 180 people.

Ideas as to what can be done to spice things up? How to make a small event into something memorable?

Make a nice slide show. Get your guests involved. Tell each table taht they have to pick one person to tell a story about the groom/bride. If more than one person at each table wants to speak, even better.

a theme or dress code can lighten up and add color to celebrations.

How about a Bhangra troupe? Usually the local college campuses have a Indian/Pakistani student association that do annual shows.
