Prince Charles Cinema
My most favourite cinema in London has to be The Prince Charles Cinema (PCC). It's situated just off of Leicester Square and though it only has one screen, it showcases an interesting concoction of homegrown film, foreign cinema, documentary and not to mention the karaoke style musical 'Sing-a-longs'. It's amazingly cheap too, with tickets starting at just ?1!
I paid a one off fee of ?15 to become a lifetime member a few years back when they were raising funds to refurbish the place. The membership also gives me a free e-listing newsletter and discounted tickets!
The PCC has a devoted following, students, tourists, people out on a cheap date as well as Londoners that know it's one of the best kept secrets in the West End!
The PCC also enjoys a cult-like status for film lovers because of it's own film festivals, or themed seasons concentrating on a cinema genre, actor or actress, director etc.
