true, especially about private schools. When I worked in China, that is all the schools (private) cared about...the parents and kids being happy. The quality of their education did not matter as much as just making the parents happy and taking their money. They would go so far as to remove "unwanted" kids from the class just to make the majority happy. But what I did like was that most of my parents were involoved with their children's education. While it's not always the case, but usually parents who choose to put their kids in private schools want the best for their kids and are more active in their children's education. Also, there are not as many kids in the classroom. Public classrooms are harder to control because of the number of kids in the classroom unlike private schools (at least the ones I taught at) where the ratio of teacher to student is better.
I think it really depends.. on the teachers, the principal, their relationship with each other
and how active the parents are too.

True, it's all about the support that each gives to the other, afterall, it's all about the kids and their future.

Having taught at both I'd say it really all depends. There's no guarantee the kids or even the quality of education at either will be better.

At the private schools I've taught at..with the exception of one... it seems often the parents had too much say and this did interfere alot with the kid's education and even the attititude of the teachers who seemed more concerned with keeping them happy the doing what was right for the kids.

In public schools I think the kids get more of a taste for the real world.. which I feel is important. Everyone is not necessarily from the same background.. the kids are forced to adapt to things they may not be used to. The parents don't seem to have much say but then I've seen the teachers, faculty etc seem more concerned about keeping the district happy... often times hiding and avoiding alot of issues that need to be resolved.

I think it really depends.. on the teachers, the principal, their relationship with each other
and how active the parents are too.
