Punjabis Punjabi needs you!

For far too long Urdu has kicked the Punjabi language like a linguistic punch-bag into submission to rural backwaters and its are speakers deemed to be a second uneducated class.

Its hard time Urdu should learn who is boss!

In Pakistan Punjabi doesn?t even have official language status...can you image a country where the main (majority) language of the state isn?t even official??

Even in Punjab, Punjabi is not recognized where almost 100% of the people can speak the language!!

I say is there no English in England or no Spanish in Spain??

So why do we have no Punjabi in Punjab?

I mean on the Indian side we at least have Punjabi as the state language, but not on the larger Pakistani side, abit unfair don?t you think?

They even got most parents into the act; ??I want my child to speak Urdu and not Punjabi because it sounds so cute and polite?bah bah!!? I say ?bah bah?crap!!?

I am no Punjabi expert but selling over a millennium worth of cultural development, to some Government official with a Bihari background!!

JUST DON?T MAKE SENSE!

As I said to all Punjabis, Punjabi REALLY does needs you!

And all you have to do is, just SPEAK Punjabi and pass the word around and lastly equally be PROUD of your PUNJABI roots!!
