Purpose of this Village

ok, here's a suggestion. if somebody let's say XYZ claims something in vibes or someplace else that is against Islam, then we must provide a counter argument, one that is backed by both Quran/sunnah, and invite that person to discuss it.

In other words, openly challenge that person, and have a discussion where we show the other person what's right. We want to get rid of ignorance, and cure the people brainwashed by the corrupt societal ideologies. So we should adopt the method of Prophet swas, that is to invite them to hear the truth.
Since vibes doesn't post our comments, this village will be the way to have a constructive discussion. I don't want to bash someone, I wan't to defeat them in arguments, I want to prove to all reading that I am right islamically because of this and that. And even after that if someone is adamant, then we know they don't want to listen to the truth, but others reading and following the discussion would learn. Someone would, and that would be our success, if we could bring one person to righ path by the will of Allah.

I hope you see where I'm coming from. let's make this village a place for islamic discussions about threats to Islam, and exposing the threats moreso than the people, and challenge the people who think otherwise...
I mean if it helps, we could have a list of people who have anti-Islam thoughts, but we only add names there once we have proven we are right Islamically, and the other person is still adamant about his/her own views. But there should be guidelines for discussions. that is, no bashing or personal attacks. All within the boundaries of Islam. All discussion must follow the sunnah of Prophet swas, and moderators should make sure of it.

Let me know what you think, suggest your own way, and let's really be creative yet islamic about our approach to refute any anti-islam arguments in this village.

The feeble human mind cannot fathom the greatness of Allah, what sex Allah is, where Allah is, or since when has Allah been in existence. n I think this is the best answer.

Shaykh Ibn `Uthaymin reinforces his anthropomorphism by saying (Sharh p. 42):It is established that Allah Most High has feet (al-qadam th?bit lill?hi ta`?l?), and Ahl al-Sunna have explained the leg and foot (al-rijl wa al-qadam) as being literal according to what befits Allah (haq?qatan `al? al-wajhi al-l?'iq bill?h). What inspired Shaykh Ibn `Uthaymin to say such words (as the feet or legs of Allah being literal) is the external meaning of hadiths such as the following: "al-Khallal said in Kitab al-Sunna on the authority of Qutat ibn al-Na`man who said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah saying: "When Allah was relieved from His creation he established Himself over His Throne and reclined (istalq?), placing one of His legs on top of the other (wa wada`a ihd? rijlayhi `ala al-ukhr?), and said: Verily it does not befit human beings."
Al-Dhahabi and others said: "Its chain of transmission is sound according to the criteria of Bukhari and Muslim.

Rater, it doesn't mean Allah's gender is a 'HE' because He refered to Himself as 'He', but rather that is for our understanding (since we speak in genders), and since He choosed to refer to Himself as 'He', we must not say anything else just to appear liberal. Besides, in Quran 'we' is also used, but it doesn't mean, there are more than one God...

Raterhater... I am going to stand by what I said based on Quran and explanation. In the Quran. Surah Qalam verse 42-43 Allah says: "The Day that the shin shall be laid bare, and they shall be summoned to bow in adoration, but they shall not be able, Their eyes will be cast down,- ignominy will cover them; seeing that they had been summoned aforetime to bow in adoration, while they were whole, (and had refused)." Allah SWT says he will reveal his shin, and the people would like to bow down in awe but they wont be able to. In my next comment I will post an opinion of a MAJOR scholar namesd Shaykh Uttahymeen to suppor this also.

yes, in Quran, Allah refers to himself as a 'HE'. those people who claim Him to be a her (godforbid) have no knowledge of Quran. In fact, anybody who gets in such a debate to prove Allah's gender is clueless and an evildoer.

Raterhater, ANYONE who supports bush, has a weak understanding of aqeedah. God is not a Her, Allah NEVER defined Himself as her. It is part of A muslims aqeedah to believe in asma wa sifat (Allahs names and attributes) as He calls himself and describes himself, nothing more or less. So if he did not call himself "her", it is HARAM to call Allah a her, this is a basic belief of Aqeedah. I suggest you study more on the subject.

A lot of muslims support Bush. It is not just HasanDaddy and his mother, so please stop singling them out. And why so much abuse towards him because he called God a "her." God is not a "him" either. God is genderless. And wallah Aim786, i heard you say God has a leg. Dont you think that was a pretty liberal statement as well? I dont care what hadith says, if it contradicts Quran then its a pointless hadith. So where in Quran does it say God has human body parts? Its a rhetorical question, dont answer it. Im not into pointless religion debates. Just here to apply logic and reasoning to my liberal views tee he he :P

And for the beard/hijab issue, yes you may be write on that. Many people wear it because they feel it is a requirement though that doesn't necessarily mean they are religious on all other aspects. And yes, maybe they are my own biases when I expect hijabi/beardies to be better muslims...and that's probably why I am disappointed countless times.

I agree that HassanDaddy's mother is as big of a problem as he is (in terms of their unabashed support for Bush). However, why are people bringing her physical characteristics into the discussion. That's just deplorable and quite unislamic (and I don't have to be a scholar to see that that is wrong).

I agree, but lest try to keep it clean now, I mean I know we all got off on the wrong foot and than got carried away, but it seems to have calmed down a bit. Like I said lets just proove our points with the Quran and Sunnah which is sufficient enough.

ok i didnt read the comments, but yea agree w/ Qrizwan....it just makes no sense to act in defence of Islam and do it in an un Islamic way...that way we lose the right to correct others, we need to correct ourselves first....good one Qriz

i am very sad to hear some of your comments here. I think you guys first need to learn the sunnah of Prophet swas, and then you should come and talk about Islam. Aim, I agree that most people keep a beard or wear hijab because it's something that is part of religion, not to show ourselves as religious, but rather just fulfilling one more command. I am keeping beard but I'm far from a perfect momin, i am not even touching the dirt of a perfect momin, but I'm keeping a beard because it's sunnah, and just like i drink water while sitting, i keep a beard. Raid made some good points regarding looking at ourselves first before we carry the flag of Islam. We need to fix our actions, and then represent Islam so we don't dent the name of Islam. I don't want an ignorant illiterate arrogant SNOB to argue with liberals, I want someone who represents the true Islam. is it too much to ask Aim bro?
