Pyaar
Assalamu alaikum
I love sappy love poems! I always wonder if it was written because the authors actually experienced those emotions or if it was what they imagined love would be like, without actually ever experiencing it.
Here is some love poetry for the hopeless romantics among us :P
William Shakespeare - Sonnet CXVI
Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love,
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove.
Oh, no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests.. and is never shaken.
It is the star to every wandering bark
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love is not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come.
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out.. even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.
In your light I learn how to love
In your beauty how to make poems
You dance inside my chest, where no one sees you
But sometimes I do and that sight becomes this art
Rumi
Robert Frost:
Suddenly, quietly, you realize that - from this moment forth - you will no longer walk through this life alone. Like a new sun this awareness arises within you, freeing you from fear, opening your life. It is the beginning of love, and the end of all that came before.

I do not love you as if you were salt-rose, or topaz,
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.
I love you as the plant that never blooms
but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers;
thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance,
risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
so I love you because I know no other way
that this: where I do not exist, nor you,
so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.
-Pablo Neruda
and as yet for others, 'tis a night as any other.
Fear not, fear not, oh lovers of love, for love always finds its way through.
Whether it be for the better or worse, love has its course run to the fullest.
Enjoy it while it lasts, for it never lasts long.
Thanks for sharing : ) ) assalam alaikum.
i like this line:
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.
