Why do the ones that pretend to know the most little
are the ones that figured out the riddle
why do the ones that have the least figured out
are the ones with the biggest mouth
why are the ones that are the most quiet
have the most to say but always deny it
Why do we try so hard to prove people wrong
when we know that they were right all along
why do we build a fortress around our heart
and when anyone tries to enter we pick them apart
why do we tell the world whats missing
when we havnt learned to listen
why do the moments we want to leave behind us
are the ones that continue to define us
why do we continue to live in the past
when we know that life doesn't last
why do we hide behind illusions and lies
and fail to see confusion in other's eyes.
why do we refuse to offer people a hand
and when were feeling helpless we claim not to understand
