Well I understand both parties. On the one side there are the players: their contracts are NOT guarenteed. The only thing is guarenteed is the bonus. The teams: they can do whatever the hell they want, meaning cut a player when ever they feel like it, thus protecting them from salry cap casualties whenever they feel like, no matter how bad of a decision they made budgeting their pay rolls from prior years. That being said, if the players go out and perform the way they are supposed to, they will not be worried about getting cut. On the other hand, this does not insure them against career or season ending injuries. Bottom line: The NFL is set up in favor of the teams and owners, which is the reason they are the most profitable and enjoyable sports organization to watch. Players can hold out all they want but at the end of the day, if they don't honor their contracts, all they are doing is screwing themselves and their teammates. Also, teh best part of the NFL is the salary cap, which is why everybody has a chance to win every year.

Yea i dont understand this also, esp. of recently how wide-outs are demanding a lot more money, maybe the agents of these players know that defenses cant touch the reciever after 5yds so the better route-runner + hands and good speed you have, the more these recievers can burn defenses and be more valuable on offense..

I think all the recievers have lost their minds...they think they have one good game or two and they think they deserve a 20million dollar bonus...the way I see it is take your team near or to playoffs and a SuperBowl and maybe an upgrade is in order...
