Residency Elective Abroad

As salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullah.
Would anyone know of a program where I can go abroad for international relief work during my third year surgical elective?
Usually you need a sponsoring attending like person... any of ya'll know of someone who can take a pretty independent third year surgical resident?

I have a current Yale J& J Faculty Award in International Health. I am going to Russia next month on that award, so can and would be happy to guide you through that.

Try this: They accept residents from other institutions than Yale. I was thinking of getting involved as a faculty member: so let me know what they are like.
