My parents bought me this fan/water spray thing, it's bright green. I'm gonna be wearing dark colors and and even a niqab to blend in, but this little gadget is gonna make me look like a real tourist.

Just wear breathable clothing and shaykh hamza is saying to bring a white umbrella. I went in December and it was hot enough.

My brother will insha'Allah be attending--So lucky! I wish I could've gone too =( I really hope there is a next time; at the Invocations of the Heart Retreat last month, the organizers were telling us about some of the plans they have in store insha'Allah--sounds amazing!

Anyway, has anyone been to Makkah/Madinah in the summer months? Any tips/recommendations/do's & donts I can pass on to my brother? Please do let me know. Jazakumallahu khairyn.

Yeah, it was a quick deadline, but it was with reason --hundreds of applications and a student limit of 160. Insha Allah we pray that there will be a next time, but it depends on how this one goes!
