'Rising' as opposed to 'Falling' in Love

If love is as grand as they say it is, why does one have to 'fall' in love? Is there something inherently degrading about love?

Exactly what i am criticizing. If love was something beautiful or sublime, why would it degrade you? 'The self' I think is quite egoistic and anything that deducts from it's esteem leaves it mutilated, incomplete. Denial of 'self' is denial of 'yourself'. I believe the most important relationship one has is with oneself. Anything that makes you feel lesser or less of yourself is certainly not anything positive. So the kind of love you are talking about or the kind that makes you 'fall' is either stems from a wrong definition of love or maybe there is something inherently wrong with love :)

luv is negation of one's self FT. when sum1 is more important to u than yr ownself & u are willing to be led by sum1 else just to make them happy. Isnt it degradation? And i think there iz nothing wrong in that either :) Degrading yrself for a change :) And having sum1 else degrade theirself for you... u lose sumthin & u get sumthing :) thats how u fall!

agree ft. if somebody is too tall for u u have to rise into his arms instead of falling into them. ;)
