i gotta hand it to my rockets though. they had it until game 7. i still think they'll come back strong next year, cuz this team just got pieced 2gether btwn post allstar and trade deadline. this combo of Wesly, Pagett, Barry, James only played a few weeks together. Great series, and i'll be the first to admit that the better team won. Mavs were quicker and had more depth. I still say Spurs are gonna take the ring.....and Nash is gonna open up a can of whoop a$$ on the Mavs....

40 POINT WIN!!! THATS MAVS BASKETBALL....how quickly the tides turn...DAL down 0-2 - everyone booking tix for Rd 2 HOU-PHX and booking HOU in the finals against Miami or SA...have a looong, warm summer...On a serious note, I have to admit this was perhaps one of the better series I have seen in a while. DON'T EVER COUNT OUT THE MAVS!

QJ, Avery is a joke...please - a lot of NBA teams would love to have him as a head coach. Also, QJ - Bulls in the FINALS? STOP USING CRACK!! Honestly, can u give me a reason to believe they are beating the Wizards? GO MAVERICKS!!!

I must say the Rocket bench stepped it up last night, esp in the 4th to end on a 19-3 run!! Berry, James, and the veteren Mutumbo were awesome. Did anyone see Avery Johnson's post game?? He was pissssed and kept saying that maybe he needs to bitch about the officiating also (cheap shot from a former ring holder) but it still made me laugh....can't wait til saurday night!

I agree Van Gundy is being made an example much like Ron Artest by the Emperor David Stern. His management style when it comes to handing out adequate fines and suspensions is horrendous. There needs to be a committee in place for discussing suspension limits and fines rather than leaving it to one person thereby creating a dictatorship. Also, about the league fixing games - if there was anything like this discussed - why hasnt a ref or someone written a book about the subject? IT WOULD BE SUCH A MONEY MAKER. Think about it - look to Jose Canseco's book on steroids.

How many times have we seen great players/coaches go wild when it comes to the officials during playoffs. Phil Jackson, MJ, Karl Malone, Miller, Kobe, etc. etc..... why stick it to Van Gundy? This morning on a local Houston radio show there's ALOT of talk about the league "TRYING" to stretch it for a 7 game series...ehm ehm!!! BTW Salim511, i know it was 3 pts off those calls, i meant a possible 4 pts that cud've been on the rockets offensive end had the right calls been made.

what's amazing to me is stern's neo nazi stance on van gundy's comments...basically, he said "if you continue to talk this way, you won't work in this league" What a douche. Coaches always talk; unless he's saying something like Stern is gay, I hate blacks, heil hitler or some crazy shit, how can you justify pulling that shit. I think stern has been good to the league but he needs to get his head out of his ass. Coaches bitch about officials as a way of playing mind games. I mean, if you're fining van gundy, why not fine karl or the zen master in the past?

If the Rockets and Van Gundy are complaining about the MAVS complaint to the NBA - let me tell you why...27 screen and rolls with Yao or Dikembe were sent to the NBA league office. The league responded with 9 out of 27 calls should have been fouls by the Rockets! 33% BLOWN CALLS! So if the refs have eyes on Yao since they have obviously missed several calls - then hopefully they are fixing the problem. FYI, Ansari420 it was a 3 point turnaround not 4 (layup and 1 FT by Finley).

Well lets see...2 critical calls by the refs...4 point turnaround, and a 3 point loss for the rockets. DO THE MATH!! It's all a "what if" now, but clearly the officiating was horrible to say the least. Not saying the rockets are better (yet), but let them play a FAIR game, and the better team will come through...is there any truth to Van Gundy's $100K fine in regards to unfair officials?

yaawwnnn. okay im facing a serious dilemma here. the game on wednesday is at 6, so itll be over by around 8:30, but i have class 5:45-9, and if i miss class its an automatic F for the semester :o/ whats more importanttttt???? AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
