Romance? In the Desi culture?

Since I've never dated or had a serious relationship with a desi guy, I was wondering if they are romantic. I know I sound a little lost but I really need to know. Does romance even exist in our culture? Please Someone tell me it does!! I've heard from many folks that desi marriges are all routine and boring. It's funny that from all the desi guys I've came across, soo far not even one has ever talked about love or how they want to do special things to make their wife happy. They only spoke of their needs and wants and ofcourse meeting the expectations of their families. I respect all that, but what about roses, chocolates, and romantic getaways?!!! Dammit I 'm a hope-less romantic!! I hope I'm just running in to the wrong dudes...lol

being a non-desi myself, i believe that w/in our culture in general love does exist... its just not as publizised as westerners promot it to be! i think romance is done on more of personal note, away from the public eye.. i don't know... i do miss the chivalry romance...the quick glamps, the wisper, the brief touch.. ppl today look for whats quick and fast of romance, the whole ROMANCE GETAWAY, which again can be a brain wash material at times... am i makin sense??!!!

Man...go to work a day and miss all the action. After Aadmee's earlier confessions of romantic pixie-dust coursing through his veins, I was going to ask, "Women, what are you waiting for!?" But it appears Aadmee's words have not been lost on the line of girls waiting to sign up.

It is heartwarming to know that when I guy confesses what he's like, women will take him seriously :)
