Saif vs. SRK


The latest buzz in the industry is that Saif Ali Khan is catching up to Shahrukh Khan when it comes to banking abroad in movie sales. Saif past three movies Salaame Namasta, Parineeta and Hum Tum all had profits of over 1 million dollars. Outside of SRK no star was able to bring in that much and now Saif is proving he's a bankable star. As we all remember SRK was the top hero for the Yash Raj Films (that produces movies such as DDLJ, Dil to Pagal Hai, Veer Zaara), but after Hum Tum and Salaame Namaste Saif Ali Khan seems to be taking over having two more films on hand with the production company and SRK having none.

Do you think that SRK should take this as a threat? I think that competition is always good. Saif does more diverse roles as for SRK he's all about one style, one script kind of deal. They both have different styles Saif is more comedic and SRK is more romantic. I can't say I mean i'm a HUGE SRK FAN but after Parineeta and Salaame Namaste I think Saif has potential to be the number 1.

srk was called uncle in main hoo naa. that was when reality set in.

I am not a SRK fan or a Saif fan, but Saif is coming into these roles that SRK did 5-7 years ago, so you cannot compare. And with SRK's age now, he can't be pull off the roles like Saif pull off now (i.e. young hip guy of Salaam Namaste, SRK did that in KKHH a while back).

Agreed Saif definatly always has had the potential to be number one, SRK watch out!

that's like comparing Pacino to Paul Walker... actually not that wide of a difference, but come on... movie sales doesn't adequately reflect whose a better actor...

plus, the Saif is a product of good scripts as well... Yash Raj films pretty much sell themselves...

saif is adorable..and he did a great job in parineeta...but salaam namaste...was a total dissappointmenttt!!!!!!!! SRK is still number one...actually...for me...Sallu's always nmber one! hehe

i agree SRK is no. 1 but if what's going on now with Saif's movies continues he may just push him off his no. 1 ... but SRK has some good movies coming out such as the new Karan Johar one (which automatically says its a hit) and The Don with Farhan Akhtar (dir. of dil chahta hai) so i mean he's always going to be #1!!!

hotness aside, i still prefer his 'overacting'. i like his style..

i still love srk but he really does overact and is kinda cheesy when he acts. saif is definitely number one, and the fact that he can act in diverse roles totally proves that.

plus he is so much hotter than srk. srk only has the eyebrow going for him.

hum tum.. not so good. havent seen salaam namaste. love srk. no one compares. i will boycott saif ali if this rumour continues..
