Salsa anyone?

So, do any of you folks ever try Salsa or would be willing to? I actually just started a few months ago and am always on the lookout for more Salsa-n00bs. There are a few places in the South Bay that offer classes in the week. If anyone's interested, please reply and I'll post more details.

i don't live in san francisco anymore, however there is a live band on sunday evenings at jelly's - great place to practice some the skills you learn in class ! it's usually crowded enough that if you trip, you won't necessarily fall :)

I can relate to the "2 left feet" disposition...that's ALL ME!!! LOL!

Actually, if u go to salsapalmeri.com they have videos from beginner to advanced that you can use to practice in the comfort of yer own pad and then once u gain the confidence, u can come partay!!! :D

I started off w/ the "home videos" and worked my way up to the class...but the beginner class, they teach you the "basics" and build upon that so it's not too hard to pickup.

salsapalmeri.com

This is my instructor's site...the dates need to be updated as the current session just ended. Next sessions will be held on Thursdays.

Oh and yes, I do know about Alberto's but I don't like the environment there as the classes are less structured. Stephanie (from Steppin' Out Productions) is a better teacher too compared to Pantea at Alberto's. For a straight up Salsa virgin, I *HIGHLY* recommend Stephanie as she not only knows her salsa but can help you learn depending on your skill level...she's jus a better teacher overall.

So yeah, I'll post more events/classes as the info is avail to me.

Definitely would go. Alberto's in Mountain View is close to your area but there are a few spots in the city of course.
