Saturn = sports car = ?!?!?!

What are your takes on the 2007 Saturn take on a sports car?

I have seen a few commercials and am going to the auto show here in San Diego, so hopefully be able to see it. But odd to see Saturn going into the sports car market.....do you think this car will last out with all its competitors?

Saw it at the car show back in November...i think it looks better than the Pontiac Solstice. Never expected this from Saturn but its definitely a great looking ride. Much thanks to Bob Lutz for atleast trying to turn GM around. Hey didn't Mallet stuff a LS2 V8 in a Solstice? Hmm...Saturn Sky with a V8...sign me up.

i personally think S2K are nice cars, awesome built quality, pure sport chasis, screamin engine, hi rpm notes, might wanna stay off the after market exhaust tho, im not a fan of rice rockets but ive driven this car, and if the world didnt have porsche boxters, that would be my next choice. and whats up with ppl and name calling? ppl make mistakes, my dad did too, when we came to the states in da begining he bought a a freakin dodge stratus, ewwwwwwwwwwwww, i mean the car still runs & its in pretty good condition, has 167K had engine trouble once (head gasket) but that was it, so those were the pros, as for the cons, soooooooooo underpowered, moans and howls when u punch the gas, the tranny is as stubborn as a donkey, and plastics galore, haha, after that mistake we never went domestic.
i would have to say 300C, CHarger, and Fusion, are the only american sedans that have showed huge advancement in quality, but they are at a stage right now where hyundai was like 3-4 yrs ago. maybe hopefully the american auto industry will become proactive rather than reactive.

And please let go of the Saturn bashing, I know a few people whom I care about that own them. They did not know better unfortunately at the time of their purchase but no need to generalize and bash. If your statement was along the lines of how I think all s2000's should be shipped off to midget land so that they have something adequate to drive than that would be okay.

this pos GM looks much similar to the pos sports car honda offers, you might be familiar with the rice pusher...you have two, probably so that you can fit in it =)

i believe its based on the pontiac solstice or something, will it sell? do any saturns? i think the ppl who buy saturns are ppl with no idea of what to buy, mostly entry level saturns sell, with the exception of the "vue," decent attempt by saturn, but horrible quality, Hyundai, and Kia are killing that brand...i dont even know y GM is wasting money on this brand, GM is stretched out too thin, it should just focus on Chevy and Pontiac, it already killed the Olds y not the Saturn, and what the hell is up with Buick?! lol, ok i admit we had a Buick roadmaster in saudi, lol, was a hella smooth car with a nice V8, and plus in saudi almost every one had capris and buicks...lol, cuz gas was like a quater a gallon, but thats beside the point. getting back on track the solstice is a decent car, 4 bangger pumpin out 170HP i believe, bigger than a miata, but handling?! well its american, ive seen a few in SoCal, orange county to be exact, and alot more miatas. bottom line, quality. when u sit down, u dont wanna be engulfed in 99 cent plastic parts...lol, although Mazda isnt lexus material either but far ahead of its western counterparts. so in essence NO, most likely it wont, but it looks like a pretty good car, if they upped the quality, a nice I-4 Turbo standard, pumpin about 200HP, nice warrant program, selling for around 20-22K now thas alot more attractive. but still wouldnt convince me to buy a saturn, when u think saturn, u think plastic, cuz when it came out, it had composite body parts which were dent and scratch free or something, i duno its a saturn. only a miracle can save that brand.
