Say Goodbye To Iran

Iran's new elected president is ULTRACONSERVATIVE ahmadinejad. he wants to reclaim the 1979 islamic revolution which means he's gonna be Khomeini #2. Iran's screwed!

Hater "786": you're a very immature and ignorant individual. no point in having a discussion with you.

Hater: how would you like to have all of ur freedom taken away? Having the Government on Wheels (Baseej and Komete) taking you to jail for talking to a person of the opposite sex on the streets. How would you like to be a dentist driving a taxi cab? People telling you what the hell to do every step you take, how to talk, how to walk, what to wear, who to be with. its easy for us to sit back and just observe whats going on, and judge and SUPPORT iran just by watching tv or whatever, but going there is suffocating. khomeini changed iran for the worse. who should be told how to live their life? who should be FORCED to follow something they might necessarily not want to. there is not ONE person in iran who i met who is "muslim." the youth hates it there because they have NO idenpendence. all i can say is khomeini marg bar sare iran ovord.

Shah was good in a sense that he was trying to modernize Iran, but not at the expense of losing our faith, culture and identity. I disagree. But now....after the revolution we fought so hard for we have gone to the opposite extreme. we need ppl like Dr. Ali Shariati, and Ayatullah Mutaharri and the great Allameh Tabatabai. They were the real scholars and guiders of the revolution and beacons of light. Ofcourse today in Iran we do have many roshan fekr people such as Dr. Elahi Ghomshei who's awesome as well as Dr. Abdol-Karim Soroush.

i'm with you muslim guy. the government is a joke and the scholars that come out of qum today seem to be just trained government puppets, a bunch of clones.

Deees you're right you can not compare the Shah and Imam Khomeini to one another, but I feel personally that the revolution that we fought for twenty something years ago is not what we have today. All of Islam and Imam's words have been twisted and corrupted by lying, stealing durty mullahs who have taken Islam and taken it for a spin. astakhfirullah. and the good scholars we do have are either jailed or put on house arrest. What kind of Islam is this????? Doesn't say in Ayat-ul-Kursi in Surah Baqarah "La ikraha fi Deen". so how is that being played in Iran today??? And one last thing. the new president is going to take Iran further back into the stone ages.
as they say in persian, "khoda be dademoon bereseh".
khoda hafiz
and ya ali

well, okay....tell me this. if you had to choose whether Iran was represented by either of the two extremes (Shah vs. Khomeini), which would it be?

Gosh - show please the speech Ahmadinejad made saying he wants women and men going out on different days. please that would be amazing and completely conflicting with his speech from couple days ago.

the little freedom that iran has will all be taken away.

Login to find out (June 27, 2005 at 9:59am)
how is iran "screwed" bcuz the new leader wants to be like khomeini?

Login to find out (June 26, 2005 at 11:59pm)
he wants to have men and women go out on different days. so basically when the men go out, the women stay at home, and vise versa. thats completely insane. if rafsanjan is said to be "moderate" and ahmadinejad said to be "ULTRACONSERVATIVE," that tells us alot.
