i'm desperately searching for a really good quality *free* online arabic learning site - does anyone know of any??

no worries..so how's the weather in Kingston? it's insanely hot n humid here right now, and no, i don't really live in Congo, i live in Ottawa..lol

Wow sorry that's bad of me to assume her religion! I've been so immersed in Islam info lately that I really haven't thought about anything else. I should watch that in future that could really be offensive, thanks :) I know there is a Buddhist Centre here also and it is located pretty conveniently for students, downtown but fairly close to campus. I hope she enjoys it here!

oh she's not muslim, she's buddha...very nice open minded girl though...but thanks for the input, i'll let her know. appreciate it :)

No offense taken lol! I'm biased because I've always lived here, but I think it's a nice city. MashaAllah it's beautiful here, with a lot of waterfront and a cute historic downtown for walking, shopping, eating out, etc. A lot of the businesses here really cater to the students. Once she meets some friends she should be able to fill her spare time no problem InShaaAllah. The building with our prayer room is right beside two of the main libraries so it's very convenient.

it does help - thanks a lot! so you go to Queens? one of my friends just got accepted into law school at Queens startin september. she's worried though that it's gonna be as boring as ppl are sayin the city is gonna be, no offense lol..what do you think? anythin excitin to do over there? maybe i can help ease her worries..

Assalamu Alaikum, If you're new to this village, did you see www.naseeb.com ? Also I have seen lexicorient.com but I haven't used it, I'm still working on the alphabet :) Also, if you sort this village by date there are Lessons 1-7 or 8 that were posted with some links...I hope this helps!
