Yesterday, I attended a seminar on:

"New sources of entangled photon pairs for quantum information"

Seminar was being held at the new Fields Institute Building at University of Toronto.


We learned entangled pairs of photons are hard to produce and there are many types of quantum entanglements(spin, fequency, time and many more) you can create.

There are problems with efficiency and quality of entanglements that are produced.

I didn't know how hard entangled quantum photon pairs were to produce.

On the side note: I was pleasantly surprised to see a very attractive muslim woman wearing a hijab at the seminar.

It was rather humid in the room and it was quite admirable how she didn't seem to let the humid room conditions irritate her.

I had to remind myself to look away and not get my vision get too entangled with her and miss what the seminar is all about! ;)
