Dominik Hasek is washed over old man...its a long season, and besides Ottawa ALWAYS chokes...wait till they run into TO during the play-offs and u'll know what i mean RubyRose!

How's Tempa Bay making out...haven't been up to speed with the hockey so far.

They look awfully good right now. What an awesome attack, they are calling those top players 'the fantastic four'!

Well, it depends, who's the player who's injured. That's part of the game. Injuries are becomming more common. Hockey is a team effort, you can't rely on one sole player to make a difference. A Crappy or mediocre team can have the best player in the league and still not make it to the playoffs. For a winning combination in hockey a team needs, good forwards, solid defense, and good goaltening. If any of the 3 is lacking, the weakness will be exposed.

For tonight's game Ottawa is playing without Havlat. I think he's still serving his suspension. The Leafs are without Mats Sundin, Nik Antropov, and Aki Berg. It'll be interesting to see if tonight's game will be as exciting as the previous 2 Ottawa/Toronto games.

Enjoy the game!

Dotherightthing is right. The NHL season is a LONG one. Anything can happen between now and the playoffs. I've seen teams start out strong then kinda fizzle off and vice versa. The Senators are looking decent thus far, and Hasek is a good goalie. Can the los of one player really make a difference Vermani78??? Just curious.

As much as I hate the provincial rivals, I gotta admit that the Sens are probabally the best team in the Eastern Conference. Besides Hasek goaltending skills, the team is solid. They got everything, good defense, and a super stacked team with forwards. Also, I found the line of Spezza, Heatly, and Alfredsson to cause nightmares for every defense and goaltender in the eastern conference.

Ottawa is one of the few teams in the NHL to be very balanced team. Other teams are missing some aspect. Eg. Philly is alright, good forwards, mediocre defense(mostly overweight slow skaters), and mediocre goaltending.

Tampa can match Ottawa's offense and they have a decent defense, but the loss of Khabiboulin is a big factor.
