And by the way....I know men are allowed to marry ahl-e-kitab woman but if a nonmoslem does not convert,
and as a moslem guy friend told me recently that he cannot see the difference between a relationship vs marriage....... is that association valid islamically?
Infact on other hand question was raised by a muslim woman friend who is considering marriage to a nonmuslim, if the guy does not convert but willing to have nikah, can that be done?
And i know its not right but i dare not judge the moslem women who go for nonmoslem guys after having seen a bunch of so- called naik muslims and their aadat-o-atwar
Well I put it up as it was interesting to have a non-moslem give advice on the issue and yet it was very pertinent.
Actually most Muslim men I have come across give up their own values when they marry a non-moslem woman
and then its the whole lifestyle which is altered and then they do many wrongs without realizing it. But I agree with you I have seen some Christain american ladies who married to practising moslem guys
eventually convert and become much better muslimas and moms then most of us who have inherited Islam.
Well I'm assuming you posted this article cause you'd like to discuss it. I agree with the advice already given... one should not change one's religion for love of a person but for love of the faith itself and only cause they actually believe in it. You can't and shouldn't force anything on anyone. Remember they may believe just as strongly in their religion as you do in yours.
I also like the suggestion they should just move on especially if its the same issue that causes them to break up over and over. I think this is really great advice in general. Obviously it's not getting or gonna get resolved... trying to force the relationship to work despite this will only make matters worse I think.
As far as the issue of a Muslim man marrying a non-Muslim girl.. I see no problems with that if they have compatible morals & values and discuss/consider before hand how they intend to raise their children..cause that's when eventually it will matter.
One of my teachers was Christian and her husband was Muslim. They raised their kids together as Muslims. In fact I'd say she did a much better job raising her kids then most Muslim parents I've ever come across. Also they were one of the most happiest nicest families I've known. So yeah it could work if they wanted to make it work. I think that's given in any relationship..there are always gonna be differences that could complicate things.. all depends on how they deal with it.
