Here are some pictures from our attempts at smoking at the beach. We have done it numerous times before but with the help of suggestions here and by the originator of the village (Zibby07) we were in black grape haven this time around.

We dug a whole in the sand and filled it with ice, than inserted our portable hookah (named Ruby) and put some more ice over. After getting the coals on top we were ready to go. It was a great idea to pack it in ice because not only did it keep the water cold (and the whitest sheeshah clouds I have seen) we were able to turn the hookah without knocking over coals so that everyone got a hit. Nothing beats smoking underneath the stars on a warm night at the beach in southern California...
